H2O Innovation is currently seeking for a Laboratory Technician to become a vital part of our team based in Vista, CA. Our next colleague will hold a full-time & permanent position in our PWT Chemicals business lines, which is the Specialty Chemicals and Services division of H2O Innovation. As our newest team member, you’ll dive into a collaborative environment, working closely with our technical, logistics and service teams.

The Day-to-day

• Conduct membrane autopsies including Ultrafiltration, Microfiltration, Nanofiltration, and Reverse Osmosis;
• Evaluate membrane integrity and performance through various tests;
• Investigate the efficacy of chemical cleaners in removing foulant from membrane surfaces;
• Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair membrane systems Assist in maintaining and updating service database;
• Prepare and ship samples efficiently;
• Package membrane elements for shipment;
• Support lab quality tests for chemicals and ensure product labels are maintained;
• Aid in facility regulation upkeep and other necessary support functions.

The Skills & Attributes Desired

• Technical degree preferred;
• Basic understanding of membrane-based water treatment systems;
• 1-2 years of water industry experience;
• Previous laboratory or chemical handling experience;
• Excellent hands-on skills;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite;
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly;
• Forklift certification (an asset);
• Bilingual in English & Spanish (an asset);
• Strong team player, thorough, and organized;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
• Demonstrates professional and positive attitude toward team members.
